China to build a national network of computing power by 2025
It will be environmentally friendly
Five Chinese government departments are accelerating the creation of an integrated national network of computing power by 2025, local media reported.
The network will ensure the smooth operation of the internet while being environmentally friendly. Experts expect the share of green electricity in the data centres built to exceed 80 per cent. This is reported by Prensa Latina, a patner of TV BRICS.
The project is in line with China's efforts to promote high-quality economic development based on improving information technology, which is considered a key resource for the digital economy.
According to the plan, a tentative bidirectional coordinated system of electricity and computing power should be formed by 2025. China is expected to become a world leader in digital innovation.
