Egypt runs the Eco-Industrial Parks Forum

Egypt officials handle environmental matters

The forum was arranged by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Trade and Industry to advance Eco-Industrial Parks (EIPs) as a means of fostering sustainable industrial development in Egypt. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.

The purpose of the event, which was a component of Egypt's Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP), was to organise corporations and national stakeholders in support of the conversion of Egyptian industrial parks to EIP.

The event provided a forum for stakeholders to become more informed about the evolution of the EIP in Egypt and to showcase noteworthy policy accomplishments.

Along with encouraging investment in sustainable industrial growth among investors and the financial sector, he also aimed to include the country's business community in order to guarantee active involvement and commitment in the transformation process.

At the event, a roadmap for the conversion of Egyptian industrial parks to EIP was also proposed.
