Ethiopia and Vietnam join forces to build green economy
Ethiopia and Vietnam are actively cooperating to develop a green economy, sharing a common vision for a sustainable future. This was stated by Ethiopia's State Minister of Finance Eyob Tekalign, commenting on Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's recent visit to Vietnam, according to ENA, a partner of TV BRICS.
He noted that Ethiopia, following a similar path, has developed and implemented its own strategic development plans for the short, medium, and long term.
Vietnam had also made significant progress in industry and construction, becoming one of the world's manufacturing centres. This success is due to the government's strong commitment to realising its plans and the active support of the population.
Ethiopia is optimistic about the prospects for rapid economic growth and appreciates Vietnam's experience in this area. Both countries are striving to build a strong green economy and develop clean, green and livable cities.
He also noted that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's visit to Vietnam allowed Ethiopia to gain valuable knowledge of Vietnam's experience in developing smart cities.
