Innovation, science and technology contribute to development of Zimbabwean traditional foods
Zimbabwe's "heritage-based education 5.0" programmes are aimed at equipping educational institutions with the ability to produce goods and services that contribute to the development of the country. This is reported by New Ziana.
It highlights the objective of training business owners who prioritise enhancing output and generating job opportunities over hiring job searchers.
The source claims that Zimbabwe is focusing its efforts on cultivating traditional fruits, herbs, and crops. It does this by employing innovations based on the advancement of science, technology, and innovation to grow and raise the value of these foods.
The Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Fisheries, and Rural Development, on behalf of the government, proposed the framework for agroecological zones that prioritise the cultivation of traditional grains.
Zimbabwe's higher education institutions are also actively innovating and opening up new industries specialising in traditional foods.
