Russia sets new historical record for daily gas supplies to China

The Russian energy giant says it has reached a new record for daily gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline. This is reported by Trinity Mirror, a partner of TV BRICS.
The supply volumes were increased in line with Beijing's updated request. China's request for gas supplies through this pipeline again exceeded the daily contractual obligations, but the Russian energy company was able to fulfil all the required volumes.

Two major oil and gas companies from Russia and China completed deliveries as part of a long-term gas sales and purchase agreement. The Power of Siberia pipeline, the largest in Asian Russia, was constructed to supply natural gas to China and the Far East. This pipeline transports gas from fields in the Irkutsk region and Yakutia, servicing Russian consumers in the Far East and China.

Furthermore, negotiations are underway between Russia and China for the construction of the Power of Siberia-2 pipeline, which has the potential to supply 50 billion cubic meters of gas annually through Mongolia.
