Sverdlovsk students invented a "live chair»

The final stage of the all-Russian competition of scientific and technological projects for students was held in the Sverdlovsk region

The final stage of the all-Russian competition of scientific and technological projects for students was held in the Sverdlovsk region, a staff correspondent of tvbrics.com from Yekaterinburg reports.

The competitors created two bionic prostheses, a BADS line and a chip-based laboratory. The overall result of the students’ work included 45 prototypes in the key areas of the country - from IT to modern medicine. More than 300 students of 5-11 grades were the participants of the regional track, showing their projects, 191 students were in the final.

One of the developments of the competitors–a "live" chair designed to heal the Russians from the monotony, with the slogan "You will be happy!" - will soon appear on the market. Today, every second office worker as studies have shown hasmonotony. But, as the students found out, little attention is givento this issue in the country. The team found the dependence of temperament and efficiency, then it tested the project on students and employees of the call center.

"This chair will revive physically and emotionally. It vibrates, providing workers of monotonous labor with a massage effect. In the future, it will throw off an employee until, for example, he/she does not solve a mathematical problem" - the participant of the competition Daria Kazantseva says.

At the competition, school teams also presented several systems in the Digital Humanities (digital sociology). Such systems evaluate the emotional mood of usersby posts and hashtags in social networks, and as a result - determine the overall "mood" of the city. The customers of the systems were sociologists of the Ural Federal University.

"The competition has allowed to select interested kids with a great potential. We take such students "under the wing". The most interesting projects will be finalized in the laboratories of universities", - the scientific mentor of students Evgeny Komotsky said.

For information: the all-Russian competition of scientific and technological projects is held in the Ural region for the third time initiated by the Educational Fund "Talent and Success", with the support of the Ministry of Education and Youth of the Sverdlovsk region. The operators of the project are the Ural Federal University and the Palace of Youth.
