Indonesia is one of the five most populous countries in the world. It is among the countries with a high UN Human Development Index (which measures the literacy and life expectancy of the population). As one of the twenty largest economies in the world, Indonesia is actively developing business ties with the BRICS countries: India, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Russia, and Egypt, as well as with the BRICS+ states: Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Venezuela.

The culture and lifestyle of Indonesians have historically been shaped by Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam, which has been actively spreading in Southeast Asia since the 13th century. In this country you can see many monuments of architecture: from ancient megalithic constructions to Buddhist temples and palace complexes of rulers of different epochs. Developed: wood carving, batik (painting on fabric), bronze casting.
