Russia's role in BRICS
Russia is a country that is rich in natural resources. Oil, gas, coal, gold, diamonds, nickel, uranium and other minerals are extracted here. The abundance of deep rivers allows for rapid development of the hydropower industry. This state exports to BRICS partners not only raw materials, but also finished products: medicines, telecommunications equipment, aerospace equipment, and electrical appliances. According to analysts, Russia makes a significant contribution to the development of international cooperation in the spheres of science and technology, ecology, health care, as well as to the work of the association to strengthen the multipolar world.

Russian culture
Russian culture has been shaped over many centuries. Today, having united customs and traditions of different ethnic groups, it is a symbiosis of the past and present. In Russia it is customary to celebrate holidays widely: some of them are connected with the change of seasons. The names of Russian poets and writers are known all over the world. The works of Pushkin, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy and other classics have been translated into hundreds of languages. Ballet, a unique school of dance art, has long been one of the hallmarks of Russia. "Swan Lake" and "The Nutcracker" are successfully staged on stages all over the world; and in the homeland of these performances, in the auditoriums of the theatres, you can often see foreign guests. Russian classical music - the works of composers such as Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Glinka - is also heard in many countries. Like folk songs: millions of people around the world recognise "Kalinka-malinka", "Valenki" and "A Birch Tree Stood in the Field" from the first notes.
