Dmitry Petrovsky, Executive Secretary of Society for Study of Traditional Taijiquan: "International Taijiquan Day – world’s first day dedicated to martial art in UNESCO system of memorable dates"

At the end of 2025, the 43rd session of the General Conference of the United Nations on educational, scientific and cultural matters established the International Taijiquan Day. The first holiday was celebrated in March 2026. Today, this martial art is practised by over 300 million people around the world.
