Artificial Intelligence Centre for training specialists to open in Astana

According to the message of the country's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, introduction of artificial intelligence and digitalisation technologies is of key importance for sustainable development of Kazakhstan. This is reported by Kazinform, partner of TV BRICS, referring to the press service of the Government of Kazakhstan.

In this regard, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry is introducing a number of significant initiatives, including:

creation of the Committee on Artificial Intelligence, which will oversee the development of this area;

approval of the AI Development Concept for 2024-2029;

the development of a draft AI Law to provide the necessary legal framework for its further growth.

As instructed by the President, it is planned to open an Artificial Intelligence Centre in Astana, whose task is to facilitate the transformation of AI in Kazakhstan by attracting talent from across the region. The Centre will annually train thousands of specialists, develop hundreds of startups and dozens of research projects in the field of AI.
