Education Ministers of BRICS countries to discuss development of global university ranking system

The 11th BRICS Education Ministers' Meeting will be held on 11 June in Kazan on the margins of the Shaping the Future International Forum. The participants will discuss the results of cooperation between the BRICS countries in the scientific and educational spheres, as well as consider new areas of co-operation, including: 

• development of the BRICS Network University;

• promoting mutual recognition of qualifications;

• development of a global university ranking and evaluation system;

• joint projects in the field of digital education;

• support for talented young people;

• participation of universities in the fight against climate change;

• activities of the BRICS Alliance for co-operation in the field of technical and vocational education and training.

Several documents are scheduled to be signed at the event. 

More than 100 representatives of foreign countries, including foreign ministers of general and higher education, have been invited to the forum this year.

An exhibition space "Russia to the World" will also be organised at the forum for foreign guests, which tells about the country's contribution to the world's piggy bank of achievements in an interactive format.
