Iran unveils first AI-powered legal robot
Technology designed to provide legal guidance to the public
Iran has introduced its first AI-powered legal robot, presented in the presence of judicial officials and members of the legal community. The system is intended to assist the public by offering accurate legal guidance. This is reported by Pars Today, a partner of TV BRICS.
Developed by innovators Mehdi Esmaeili and Mohammad Vahedi, the robot has been trained on Iranian legal frameworks and is capable of responding precisely to a wide range of legal queries.
Speaking at the unveiling, Esmaeili highlighted that the system’s interface has been designed to be simple and accessible, allowing individuals with no legal background to use it effectively.
Vahedi noted that advances in social, educational, economic, and scientific fields have significantly transformed the practice of law, making AI applications in the legal sector increasingly important. He added that the robot is capable of analysing a variety of legal documents and case histories at unprecedented speed.
The creation of such technologies reflects a global trend. In China, researchers recently introduced a multifunctional soft robot capable of operating in extremely cold environments and performing delicate tasks such as aero engine inspection and ice removal, states Global Times, a partner of TV BRICS. The breakthrough is based on smart materials that enhance performance, durability and efficiency, paving the way for wider applications in robotics and intelligent systems.
India is also advancing in this field: the country plans to send a humanoid robot named Vyommitra into space in December 2025 as part of preparations for the first manned Gaganyaan mission, according to TV BRICS partner ANI. The robot will test spacecraft systems, monitor key parameters and ensure mission safety, marking an important step in India’s space exploration programme.
