Mexico enters global media arena through TV BRICS International Media Network

Mexican media resource Canal 6 Television and TV BRICS will promote the development of media communications between the countries of the Global South and BRICS

TV BRICS is expanding its presence in Latin America and beginning cooperation with the United Mexican States. The first partner of TV BRICS in the country is the independent national media resource Canal 6 Television. The cooperation agreement was signed by CEO of TV BRICS Janna Tolstikova and Canal 6 Tv CEO Julio Cesar Garcia Hernandez.

The partners agreed to promote the development of media communications between the countries of the Global South and BRICS. In particular, through TV BRICS, Canal 6 Tv will join the exchange of content with foreign media and participate in international projects. Cooperation with the international media network will enable Mexican media to provide their audience with more detailed information about the activities of BRICS member states and partners, as well as give them the opportunity to widely position their country in the global information field.

"The cooperation agreement with TV BRICS not only brings our country closer to a communication mechanism based on the principles of the BRICS countries, but also allows us to join efforts to build a common future and universal well-being – one of the goals of the association. We are taking a significant step forward in the exchange of content, work processes, talent, and technology. Canal 6 Tv is not only gaining allies, but also strengthening its global communication network. We want to join forces in creating content so that more Mexicans can learn about what the BRICS countries have to offer. Cooperation with TV BRICS will contribute to the creation of a strong information alliance – for the benefit not only of our media but also of the population, which today more than ever needs truthful, high-quality, and professional information," Julio Cesar Garcia Hernandez is confident.

Canal 6 Tv is an independent national media outlet that includes a cable TV channel and a news portal. It was established in 2013 and is headquartered in Mexico City. Canal 6 Tv acts as a mouthpiece for the Mexican people, telling about their lives, achievements and problems, covering topics of culture and sports, and studying international socio-political experience. Canal 6 Tv's content reaches 2 million views on the Internet.

CEO of TV BRICS Janna Tolstikova noted that in Latin America, more than a dozen media outlets in Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina, and Chile are already cooperating with the international media network. Mexico, represented by Canal 6 Tv, became the 28th country to join the content exchange through TV BRICS, with the media network's overall information presence reaching 80 countries.

"TV BRICS is pleased to welcome the first media outlet from Mexico among its partners. Canal 6 Tv's business reputation and professional authority give us confidence that our joint work will make a significant contribution to achieving the global goal of forming a unified media space based on reliable information and equality for all participants in international dialogue. In 2025, Mexico will celebrate a number of anniversaries since establishing diplomatic relations with the BRICS countries: 50 years of successful cooperation with the UAE, 75 years with India, 100 years with Brazil, and 135 years with Russia. We see this as a great opportunity to talk loudly about the country's development and its international prospects. It is obvious that today the role of media communications is progressing significantly, opening up regions, establishing intergovernmental relations, introducing different traditions and cultures, and, most importantly, creating understanding and trust between countries and people. Every day, more and more partners are interested in building a unified media space, because it is an opportunity to express their opinions honestly and openly, to be on an equal footing with everyone else and to be heard," noted Janna Tolstikova.
