Putin recalled that the BRICS countries' GDP grew by 4.9 per cent in 2024 and stressed that "growth rates in various regions of the world will be stable over the next decades."

The Russian leader added that this dynamics will be maintained thanks to the members of the association, among other things.

"I expect Russian business to take the most active part in these joint projects with our BRICS partners and its future members," Putin concluded.

Russia is developing cooperation with BRICS partners in energy, industry, finance, and other sectors. The association is discussing the transition to settlements in national currencies, the creation of a single payment system and the strengthening of transport corridors.
