Names of 100 creative leaders of Pacific Russia are announced in Vladivostok
Visual arts, film and animation, music, galleries and creative clusters have emerged as industry leaders in a federal survey of Pacific. 100 Most Creative Russians (100 Creative Leaders in Pacific Russia), which was first conducted in six regions of the Far East. The experts collected 500 responses and identified 400 creative business representatives, 100 of whom were included in the final list of the hundred creative leaders of Pacific Russia.
The project was implemented by the Federation of Creative Industries (FCI) together with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). The final list of winners can be found on the website.
The announcement of the results of the survey took place in the format of a show presentation that graphically portrayed the main actors in the creative business. In addition to the publication of the project's results, there were presentations by creative leaders in the format of a business stand up and creative collaborations between representatives of the 'hundred'.
"This week, Vladivostok hosted the first festival-forum "Russian Creative Week - Far East". The macro-region has become the main centre for discussion of issues that are important for the development of creative industries not only in the Far Eastern Federal District, but in the whole country. This includes building a balance between state support and private investment in the sector, aspects affecting intellectual property, and, of course, the production and export of creative enterprise products. Most importantly, it involved the specific people on whose shoulders industry development in the region rests. FEDC and FCI presented the results of a unique project-study of 100 creative leaders of Pacific Russia, which was conducted in the Primorsky, Khabarovsk and Kamchatka territories, Sakhalin and Magadan regions and Chukotka Autonomous District from 2022-2023," said Hasan Hasanbalayev, FEDC's executive director for social development.
"The multi-stage selection process helped to form a long-list of 400 candidates, and then a short-list of 113 leading figures in the creative industries of the six Far Eastern Federal District regions. These included individuals, creative teams and business projects. The selection for the analysis was based on the responses of 150 local industry experts. The criteria for selection were the candidate's ability to form a new vision of development within their category, the search and use of new development methods, a high level of added value of produced goods and services, the presence of recognised achievements," said Igor Namakonov, General Director of the Federation of Creative Industries.
At the final stage, the expert committee evaluated the candidates in terms of their contribution to the development of society, culture and the economy of the Far Eastern Federal District. Based on the total value of each participant's influence index, a final "hundred" was formed.
Vladivostok today is the most important hub for the formation of international economic ties for Russia. Thanks to its territorial peculiarities and common border with China by land and with other countries by sea, the region has excellent opportunities for cooperation with the Asia-Pacific Region (APR) countries in the creative industries. In addition, the Far East has high export potential and opportunities to supply creative economy products to the huge Asia-Pacific market.
