Russian experts discuss development of global pharmaceutical market in BRICS+ countries
A series of closed strategic sessions for sectoral markets of the BRICS+ countries has been launched on the platform of TV BRICS
The first dialogue with major Russian pharmaceutical manufacturers operating in foreign markets took place at the headquarters of the TV BRICS International Media Network in Moscow. The strategic session “Pharmaceutical Dialogue: industry opportunities in the BRICS+ countries and the role of media diplomacy in entering foreign markets” opened a series of closed TV BRICS conferences dedicated to current challenges and prospects for the development of sectoral markets across the Global South.
The meeting of experts and analysts in the field of healthcare was held with the support of the Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers of the Eurasian Economic Union (APMEAEU). The Chairman of the Board of APMEAEU, Aleksey Kedrin, delivered welcoming remarks.

Representatives of the public and private sectors, industry organisations, and analytical, logistics and investment institutions took part in the discussion of trends and opportunities for international cooperation in healthcare and pharmaceuticals: the Central Research Institute for Organisation and Informatisation of Public Healthcare of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, VEB.RF, the Russian Export Center (REC), the National Research University Higher School of Economics, the analytical company IQDATA, and representatives of leading Russian pharmaceutical companies.
Experts presented an analysis of global pharmaceutical market trends in the BRICS+ countries; assessed current challenges for Russian pharmaceutical manufacturers and potential pathways to foreign markets; and discussed the need for export diversification, the capacity of BRICS+ markets, the formation of common trends for coordinated cooperation within the BRICS+ framework, as well as key issues in shaping the international agenda and operational processes for registering innovative medicines in BRICS+ countries.
Particular attention during the session was given to the need for interaction between the business community and national media in BRICS+ countries, as well as to evaluating the effectiveness of such cooperation in promoting the industry’s image in the global information space. Presentations on the principles of building an information exchange system among BRICS+ media and on opportunities for promoting sectoral expertise and business cooperation through media diplomacy were delivered by TV BRICS Executive Producer Kristina Muravyova and Director of the International Cooperation Department Aleksandra Burman. They emphasised the importance of international media dialogue in facilitating engagement between the business community and federal executive authorities involved in the development of multilateral cooperation within BRICS+.

Analytical forecasts for the development of the Russian pharmaceutical market for 2026–2030 were presented by Svetlana Nikulina, Sales Director at the analytical company IQDATA.
Data on export support measures, as well as a range of financial and non-financial instruments available to companies throughout the export project lifecycle to expand and diversify export geography, was presented by Andrey Dobritsa, Director for Export Support of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry at the Russian Export Center JSC, a partner of TV BRICS.

The series of closed strategic sessions organised by TV BRICS is intended to become a new dialogue platform for industry experts and analysts, offering a new format of interaction – from discussing operational challenges in international markets to developing consolidated roadmaps for sectoral development.
Analytics in correlation with industry expertise is a strategic focus of TV BRICS. With an extensive network of partners in culture, education, business associations and the GR sector, the media network is capable of producing expert analysis on the socio-economic development of BRICS+ countries. These materials form the basis for information exchange among leading media outlets, shaping a unified analytical landscape of the information agenda.
The core focus of the analytical track of TV BRICS includes market analysis of BRICS countries and cooperation among BRICS+ members in industry, science and technology, healthcare, trade, the economy and global security, at both sectoral and cross-sectoral levels.
Through engagement with international industry experts and analysts, TV BRICS promotes the development of its own model for expert assessment of socio-economic factors shaping Global South markets, as well as effective information and analytical support for mutually beneficial international cooperation and the creation of new standards for evaluating and forecasting sectoral and cross-sectoral development in BRICS+ countries.
