Samba Museum in Rio de Janeiro is recognised as historical and cultural heritage site
Nilsemar Nogueira, founder of the Samba Museum, notes that the recognition is fundamental to the Samba Museum. This is reported by
Toda Palavra, a partner of TV BRICS.
“It is a place where samba dancers, their languages, cultural and social heritage are remembered and appreciated,” adds Nilsemar.
“The Samba Museum plays an important role in preserving our culture and is also a powerful event space. Today we are proud to present the Heroes of Freedom exhibition, sponsored by the Secretariat of Culture and Petrobras, as part of the Cultural Incentives Law,” said Secretary of State for Culture Danielle Barros.
The Samba Museum, created in 2001 and with the largest collection in Brazil with more than 45,000 pieces, plays a key role in preserving and promoting the country's cultural heritage.
