Tourism in Thailand generates over US$26 Billion in first half of 2025

More than 20 million tourists visited the country between January and August

Thailand’s tourism sector continues to perform strongly, with over 20 million international visitors recorded in the first half of 2025, as reported by BERNAMA, a TV BRICS partner.

Between January and August, international arrivals generated approximately US$26.25 billion in revenue, according to Deputy Government Spokesperson Sasikan Watthanachan.

The top five source markets during this period were China, Malaysia, India, Russia, and South Korea, with China leading at nearly 2.84 million arrivals.

Looking ahead, Thailand aims to attract at least 38 million international tourists by the end of 2025. This follows a strong performance in 2024, when the country saw over 35.5 million international arrivals and earned US$46.76 billion from tourism.
