Vietnam and India agree to prioritise implementation of joint projects
High-level discussions focus on strategic cooperation, cultural restoration, and technological advancements in governance
National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai held working sessions with representatives of the Standing Committee on Finance of India's Lok Sabha (the lower House of the parliament) and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations during his visit to India from March 14 to 19.
During the meeting with the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Finance, Bhartruhari Mahtab, Hai emphasised the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between Vietnam and India, particularly in finance, investment attraction, and digitalisation of the budgetary sector.
Mahtab expressed readiness to share experience in tax policies and support for high-tech zones, reported by Vietnam News Agency (VNA), a partner of TV BRICS.
Hai also highlighted the importance of cultural cooperation, including the restoration of the Chien Dan Cham Tower in Quang Nam Province, and exchanged ideas on applying digital technologies, big data, and artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency of the National Assembly's operations.
Both sides agreed to prioritise the implementation of joint projects and share experiences in digital transformation for parliamentary activities.
