Spring has come to Russia: country celebrated Maslenitsa
The Maslenitsa, or spring's arrival, was celebrated on a large scale in the "Gorki Leninskie" Museum-Reserve in the Moscow Oblast. About 7 thousand people attended the celebration. The guests learnt about the customs of the ancient Slavs. The culmination of the festivities was the burning of a straw effigy.
