BRICSdialogue. Episode 2
The BRICS countries consume about half of the world's total energy. They account for over 40 per cent of oil reserves on Earth and more than 50 per cent of gas reserves.
It is this scale that poses a difficult task: how to increase the share of green energy – from solar panels to wind farms – and, at the same time, maintain the reliability of traditional sources? How can we achieve a balance between sustainable economic growth and so-called "climate neutrality"?
On these and many other questions and topics: Aleksey Kulapin, Director General of the Russian Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
Via the video conference with the Moscow studio: Isolda Costa, Technical-Scientific Director of the Brazilian Association of Nuclear Energy; Jaya Wahono, Chairman of the Standing Committee on New Energy Technology Implementation and Regulation of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN); Lazarus Chapungu, Senior Post-Doctoral Research Fellow of the Institute for Sustainability and Corporate Citizenship at the University of South Africa.
