Egg production in Kyrgyzstan rises by almost 25% in first quarter of 2026
An increase was also recorded for other livestock products, such as meat and milk
Production of key livestock products increased in Kyrgyzstan between January and March 2026, compared with the same period the previous year. As reported by Akchabar, a partner of TV BRICS, based on data from the country’s National Statistics Committee.
The biggest increase was recorded in the chicken eggs segment. In the first quarter, the volume reached 201.9 million units, up 24.6 per cent on the period from January to March 2025.
The country also produced 55.2 thousand tonnes of meat, a 2 per cent increase. Raw milk production, meanwhile, rose by 2.5 per cent, reaching 298.9 thousand tonnes. Furthermore, vegetable oil production rose from 2,000 to 3,100 tonnes during the period.
In March, the sector also maintained its positive performance. Cattle and poultry slaughterings rose by 3 per cent, while milk and egg volumes increased by 1.7 per cent and 17.8 per cent, respectively.
According to the National Statistics Committee, this growth is linked to an increase in livestock and poultry numbers, as well as improved productivity.
