Brazil launches AI solutions bank for public administration
The open platform brings together artificial intelligence projects and ideas aimed at improving public services and strengthening cooperation between institutions

Public authorities, universities and science and technology institutions in Brazil can submit artificial intelligence projects and ideas to the AI Solutions Bank for Brazilian Public Administration. The platform brings together initiatives that use AI to address challenges in public administration and improve services for citizens.
The initiative is designed to create an open knowledge base on the use of AI in the public sector. This was reported on the government's website.
The platform accepts both solutions that are already in operation and ideas at an early stage of development. By bringing these initiatives together, the project aims to facilitate the exchange of experience and help institutions facing similar challenges identify approaches that can be adapted to their needs.
Solutions are organised according to the problems they seek to address rather than solely by the technologies they use. This allows public authorities to search the national catalogue based on specific needs and explore approaches developed by other institutions. The platform also provides information on the potential for reuse and the technological dependencies of each initiative.
Submitted proposals undergo an assessment before being added to the catalogue. The platform can provide feedback, classification or further guidance, including for initiatives that are still at an early stage. The database is intended to connect public managers, specialists, developers, universities and other institutions interested in developing AI-based solutions.
The initiative also complements Ibict’s work in organising, managing and disseminating scientific and technological information. The institute operates under Brazil’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and contributes to public policies focused on information management, access to knowledge, science and innovation.
