Brazil adopts pioneering IoT legislation
The Internet of Things can generate 10 million jobs in Brazil in the coming years
The new legal framework for the Internet of Things (IoT), sanctioned by the Brazilian government, guarantees tax exemptions and simplifications to make Brazil the center of the sector and a pioneer in its development. This is reported on the official website of the Brazilian government.
According to research by the Ministry of Communications, the Internet of Things could create 10 million jobs in Brazil in the coming years. In addition to tax breaks, licensing rules for products with embedded IoT technology have also been relaxed.
The Internet of Things is ubiquitous, from refrigerators and connected TVs to agricultural machines that can control irrigation, transmit information about soil moisture, acidity and nutrients.
