Brazil to continue to top the FIFA rankings

The country will retain its top ranking despite losing in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup

At the end of the World Cup, the Brazilian team will continue to occupy the top spot in the International Football Federation (FIFA) national team rankings. They will retain first place, even though they were beaten 4-2 on penalties by Croatia in the quarter-final. This was reported by ESPN.

As a reminder, for the third time in World Cup history, Argentina took the victory. The Albiceleste were stronger than the French in a hard-fought contest. The main and extra time of the match did not reveal the winners, everything was decided in the penalty shootout. Argentina won it 4-2.

After the World Cup, the national team moved up by one position in the FIFA rankings and is now in second place. The French national team is in third place.
