Ethiopia aims to achieve economic growth of 7.9% in current fiscal year

Ethiopia's economy has performed well over the past ten months in the main macroeconomic sectors, suggesting that the country may be able to reach its 7.9 per cent growth target for the current fiscal year. This is reported by ENA.

According to Fitsum Assefa, Ethiopia's Minister of Planning and Development, the nation has received US$3.2 billion in foreign direct investment in the past 10 months, a 14.3 per cent increase over the same period previous year.

She went on to say that since the same time last year, the state budget deficit has decreased by 14 per cent.

During the aforementioned months, jobs were produced for over 300,000 Americans overseas and 2.5 million citizens at home.
