The Brazilian president made an announcement on investment in the Brazilian economy
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said that Brazil "is experiencing a golden moment" in the economy and there are high hopes for the country abroad. "I am very optimistic about the future of this country and what will happen in the coming years. The economy is going to grow this year. If all the money we have announced works, the economy will grow." he said.
"I just attended a meeting with 54 African countries in Ethiopia. Five days later I attended a meeting in Guyana with 15 Caricom countries. When the meeting was over, I went to a meeting in St Vincent and the Grenadines with 33 Selaka countries. I have never seen as much hope for Brazil as I see now."
According to the President, his government has already created the necessary conditions to boost the economy. This is reported by Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.
The president also said the federal government will need to discuss with Congress at some point a change in the country's "spending limit".
