"The Golden Ring of… Siberia" –the New Tourist Route in Russia

The Russian Geographical Society has sent a pilot expedition along a whole new route "The Golden Ring of Siberia" ("We Discover Siberia"). The route is created by the Russian Geographical Society (RGS). The first traveling along it will end on September 1, reports atvbrics.com correspondent with the reference tothe Radio Siberia.

The new informative route includes 10 points of the Siberian Federal District and the Republic of Buryatia.

The first running team, who started on August 16 from the Tomsk Local HistoryMuseum,have 16 days for passing allofthe main Siberia attractions, which will be included into the route map.

This large-scale project will base on the already existing logistics in regions: air, water, railway transport, as well as cars, especially off-road ones.

The main points of the route are registeredprecisely: Tomsk – Novosibirsk – Biysk – Belokurikha – Manzherok –Chuy-Ozy– Aktash – Balykcha – Artybash – Turochak – Sheregesh – Novokuznetsk – Abakan – Kyzyl – Krasnoyarsk – Shushenskoye – Irkutsk – Listvyanka – Slyudyanka – Ulan-Ude.

The task of the forwarding team is to prepare and inspect a totally new route for Russianresidents and foreign tourists, it will acquaint them with unique places of Siberia and Lake Baikal.
