Egypt's Prime Minister takes measures to revitalise historic Ahl Al-Bayt Trail
The trail, which runs from the Salah Al-Din in Cairo to the Imam Hussein Mosque, is an important religious and historical route that includes various mosques, shrines and landmarks. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stressed the importance of protecting this unique archaeological and cultural area.
The committee, which was ordered by Madbouly to include representatives of relevant ministries and departments, aims to join efforts to preserve and restore the historical significance of the area.
The committee's tasks include revitalising the Ahl Al-Bayt Trail, connecting places along the trail, restoring areas, creating public spaces, gardens and parks, and protecting them from encroachment.
Cairo is known for its many Ahl Al-Bayt mosques and shrines, such as the Sayyidah Nafisa Mosqu, which is considered the resting place of Sayyida Nafisa, great-granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
