Venezuelan footwear industry and government sign agreement to develop national production chain

Representatives from the Venezuelan footwear sector and officials from the Ministry of Industries and National Production held a meeting to strengthen the entire national production chain, from sourcing raw materials to marketing the final product.

The parties agreed on the importance of establishing official channels between manufacturers, suppliers, tanners, designers, distributors, and entrepreneurs, creating a sustainable network aligned with national economic development objectives. This is reported by Venezolana de Television, a partner of TV BRICS. 

A central topic of the meeting was defining a framework to incorporate new production technologies, automate processes, and develop specialised technical training. 

This plan will be supported by the Venezuelan government through preferential financing programmes, technical assistance, and business advisory services.
