Zimbabwe's tourism sector uses cooperation with the media to stimulate growth
After the Zimbabwean Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry met with authorities in Harare, it became clear that a plan needed to be developed to use media channels to promote the region's tourism industry. This is reported by ZBC News, a partner of TV BRICS.
Barbara Rwodzi, Zimbabwean Minister of Tourism, underlined the media's critical role in influencing public opinion and marketing Zimbabwe's tourism attractions.
"As the Ministry of Tourism, there is no way we talk about marketing our country without the media, so through the Ministry of Information and also the media, we came today to discuss various ways of marketing our country together with everyone who is in the media fraternity," stated the minister.
Journalists from Zimbabwe also highlighted the advantages of bilateral cooperation in promoting the nation's tourism potential.
The stage is being set for a tourism revolution that will accelerate economic growth, job creation, and cross-cultural interchange as Zimbabwe gets ready to host future regional and global summits.
