The ancient Oriental art of gold painting is growing in popularity in Russia

Monir Paikan, an artist who paints pictures applying an ancient Persian technique called tazhib, is working in the Russian capital. Its secret lies in the application of paint containing gold to the canvas, which gives the works a special luxurious look.
