Brasilia to host the Youth Games 2025

The event brings together Brazil's best school athletes under the age of 17 in 18 sporting disciplines

Brazil's Federal District is preparing to host around 5,000 athletes from all over the country for the Youth Games 2025, scheduled for September next year, according to Metropoles, a partner of TV BRICS.

According to Renato Junqueira, secretary of sport and leisure of the Federal District (DF), the selection of the athletes who will represent the capital will take place three months before the event, after their participation in other qualifying competitions

DF, which this year took a delegation of 215 people, is looking to surpass that number in 2025.

The 2025 Youth Games will be organised by the Brazilian Olympic Committee (BOC). This event brings together the best school athletes in Brazil, under 17 years of age, in 18 sports disciplines. Organised by the BOC's Sports Development Area, the Games aim to foster the development of young talent and strengthen Olympic sport in the country.
