Esports World Cup brings thousands of international players and fans to Riyadh
The organisers have launched their first fan programme, with the aim of attracting supporters from all over the world
The 2025 Esports World Cup, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, brought together over 2,000 elite players and 200 clubs from more than 100 nations, competing in 25 tournaments across 24 titles.
To give dedicated followers a front-row experience, the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has launched its first-ever fan programme. The initiative invites the most committed supporters to Riyadh, offering them the chance to cheer on their teams from the heart of the tournament while representing their communities, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Programme Manager Aysel Ahmadova said hosting fans from around the world added a valuable cultural dimension to the competition and strengthened the atmosphere on site.
The scheme covers full travel arrangements, exclusive behind-the-scenes access, and player meet-and-greets. Working with 44 esports clubs, the EWCF ran global campaigns and competitions to select participants.
