Ethiopia highlights AI as ideal investment for country's fruitful future

The increasingly effective application of AI is pushing the boundaries of the technology's implementation

Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has emphasised the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), describing it as an ideal investment for a fruitful future. This is reported by Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC), a partner of TV BRICS.

During the graduation ceremony for Summer Camp 2024 participants, the senior official noted the growing application of AI, which allows it to be used in more areas.

The Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute has stepped up its training initiatives by welcoming 200 trainees this summer to hone young people's skills in the discipline.

According to Worku Gachna, Director General of the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, a total of 3,500 students from different parts of the country registered and 200 qualified trainees completed the programme.

It's worth noting that the training covers five key sectors and aims to produce competent and competitive AI professionals.
