RIOU launches Scholarship Programme for sports management training

The Russian International Olympic University invites Russian and international candidates to apply for the RIOU Scholarship Programme to pursue the Master of Sport Administration course in the 2023-2024 academic year. The scholarship is available to applicants of any nationality and covers tuition, accommodation and monthly allowance.

Based on current global case studies, students will learn algorithms for the functioning of the sports industry and master methods for conducting research projects in the field of sports. The programme is taught by leading Russian and international experts - practitioners in the field of sports management.

At the end of the programme, the students receive a professional retraining diploma in Russian and English from RIOU with the qualification of "Master of Sports Administration".

The date for the announcement of the winners will be on 8 August 2023. The list of winners will be published on the RIOU website. The selected scholarship holders will also receive a scholarship confirmation letter.

The University continues to pursue an important educational mission: to shape a new generation of managers who are ready to become sports industry leaders in their countries and RIOU ambassadors abroad. The RIOU scholarships for the English version of the Master of Sport Administration course give a strong impetus in the career development of students from all over the world," said Lev Belousov, Rector of RIOU, Academician of Russian Academy of Education.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

- have higher education;

- valid English language certificate that meets the minimum level requirement of C1;

- valid passport (should be valid for a minimum period of 18 months from the visa issue date and should contain at least 2 blank pages).

While considering the candidates, the admissions committee will also assess the applicants' learning ability, academic success, experience in community work, including volunteering in sports and the Olympic movement, leadership potential, motivation and initiative.

Recommendations from Russian and international sports organisations (including public organisations), organisational committees of major sports events, sports federations and clubs, state and municipal authorities are welcome.

The deadline for submitting the complete application package is on 31st July 2023.

The scholarship competition has been held at RIOU since 2013. Every year, up to 20 students become winners. The winners of the competition receive a monthly scholarship.
