This year’s calendar is expected to include races in the Middle East

The Sharjah Formula 1 team secured a decisive win at the opening round of the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship, held on Lake Toba in Indonesia.

Sharjah’s Team driver Rusty Wyatt steered the No. 17 boat to first place, building on a sprint race victory to take maximum points from the event. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

The opening race saw a field of international teams compete. The event marks the start of a multi-stage world championship series that features high-speed powerboat racing. The race format typically includes qualifying rounds, sprint races, and a main race where points are awarded based on finishing positions.

This year’s calendar is expected to include races in the Middle East, with details on specific locations and dates to follow.
