TV BRICS and Peoples' Friendship University of Russia to develop international youth cooperation
TV BRICS International Media Network has signed a cooperation agreement with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN in Russian) which aims to promote a positive image of Russian higher education and science in BRICS countries.
It should be noted that the RUDN participates in the state programme "Priority 2030" which aims to create more than 100 progressive modern universities in Russia by 2030 - the centres of scientific, technological and socio-economic development of the country. In addition, the project aims to increase exports of Russian educational services and create a positive image of the country abroad.
TV BRICS and RUDN will be engaged in:
- promoting a positive image of Russian higher education and science in BRICS countries through mass media as well as means of public diplomacy;- joint production of video content (including the RUDN students' involvement in creating content for foreign students);
- developing and expanding international youth cooperation / socially important international youth initiatives;
- promoting the University achievements in the information space of BRICS+ countries in order to exchange experience and establish contacts between the BRICS universities;
- implementation of educational and informational courses on the study of Russian as a foreign language as one of the ways to popularise Russian education and science abroad.
TV BRICS consistently develops cooperation with universities in the BRICS countries, including those that are members of the BRICS Network University.
Today, TV BRICS cooperates with more than 20 higher education institutions in the five countries. Earlier, a cooperation agreement was concluded with Durban University of Technology (South Africa).
