Largest skate park in Africa to be built in Egypt

The Egyptian city of El Gouna is planning to create the largest skate park on the African continent. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.

Construction work is expected to begin this year, with the grand opening scheduled for 2025.

El Gouna authorities intend to make the city a centre for local and international sports competitions. The construction of the skate park will contribute to the development of sports tourism in Egypt and contribute to the country's economic and social development.

"In El Gouna, we are dedicated to improving our services and recreational activities to cater to the different interests of our diverse customer base. We aspire to offer a wide range of activities and sports for both amateurs and professionals, positioning El Gouna as a hub for various sports, culture, and arts events in Egypt and Africa," said Mohamed Amer, a spokesperson for the city's authorities.

The creators of the skate park note that the initiative aims to contribute significantly to the development of skateboarding in African countries.
