Brazil wins seven medals at Parapan-Pacific Swimming Championships and sets world record
Brazilian swimmers claim three golds, two silvers and two bronzes, with Alessandra Oliveira breaking the world record in the 100m breaststroke

Brazil added seven medals to its tally at the Parapan-Pacific Swimming Championships, including three golds, two silvers and two bronzes, as reported by Agência Brasil.
The day's standout performance came from Sao Paulo swimmer Alessandra Oliveira, who set a new world record in the 100m breaststroke for the S4-9 and S11-14 classes, clocking 1:40.63.
Oliveira took silver after scoring 1,033 points under the competition's Technical Performance Index. Fellow Brazilian Beatriz Flausino won gold in the event, completing a Brazilian one-two.
Brazil also secured another medal double in the 50m backstroke for the S1-S5 classes. Samuel Oliveira won gold, while Gabriel Araujo claimed bronze.
In the S3 50m breaststroke, for athletes with physical impairments, Patricia Pereira took gold for Brazil, while fellow Brazilian Lidia Cruz won bronze. Cruz added a second medal later in the programme, taking silver in the 50m backstroke for the S2-S5 classes in 49.61 seconds.
