International Youth Day is celebrated on 12 August
On the occasion of International Youth Day, Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Arab Youth Centre, highlighted the crucial role of youth in the development and prosperity of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He stressed that the country's leaders are devoting significant resources to channel the energy of the youth towards nation building, as reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
Sheikh Theyab stressed that the youth represent the hope and future of the nation, and emphasised the importance of equipping them with education and knowledge so that they can fulfil their aspirations and contribute to the progress of society.
He pointed out that the strength of a society is measured by the loyalty and commitment of its youth to its values and humanitarian principles.
