Kineshma: the pearl of the Upper Volga
The squares and streets of Kineshma will not leave fans of ancient architecture indifferent. Founded over five centuries ago, this city has always been renowned for its hospitality. Whosoever lived here: fishermen, merchants, salt makers, skilful weavers. Presenter Anatoly Kharitonov will try his hand at felting and make native Russian shoes without a single seam. Will see the bolides cutting across the water surface. He will drive along the roads in a Stalin's "Moskvich" and carve a Slavic symbol of good and sun out of wood.
We would like to thank the Kineshma city administration for their help in organising and conducting the filming.
