BRICS countries – architects of global energy balance
By 2050, the BRICS nations aim to produce at least 50 per cent of the world’s total energy output. The group holds a leading position in terms of fossil fuel production and reserves, whilst simultaneously expanding the capacity of solar and wind power stations and developing nuclear energy. BRICS’ strategic goal is to ensure a fair, safe and sustainable transition to a low-carbon balance.
