Across India, efforts are growing to conserve and expand coastal forests, as communities come together to protect these green guardians of the sea. Surrounded by sea on three sides, India has a coastline of over 4,660 miles. In this vast coastal landscape, mangroves play a vital role – acting as natural shields against storms and erosion while supporting rich marine biodiversity.
