Tatyana Dovgalenko, Director of Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department for Partnership with Africa: “Among 20 fastest–growing economies in world, 12 are African countries”
The volume of trade between Russia and African countries increased by 13 per cent over the year and amounted to more than US$27 billion. At the same time, trade relations continue to develop at a rapid pace. In addition, Moscow and African capitals actively cooperate in the field of mining and energy, including nuclear and green energy, as well as in cultural and educational spheres. In 2025, the number of African students in Russia exceeded 30,000. A positive trend in relations is also being recorded in the tourism industry. During the year, the demand for holidays in Africa among Russians increased by 50 per cent.
What is the peculiarity of the Department for Partnership with Africa, opened in 2025 by the Russian Foreign Ministry? Will the volume of trade between Russia and African countries continue to increase?
