Egypt unveils dynamic cultural strategy to strengthen global influence

The overarching goal is to position Egypt as a global leader in thought, creativity, and cultural diplomacy

Egypt's Ministry of Culture has launched an ambitious strategy aimed at redefining its cultural identity and boosting its influence on both domestic and international stages. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.

The initiative was presented during a meeting between Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Hanno, who outlined a comprehensive plan to revitalise Egypt’s cultural sector.

Minister Hanno detailed the Ministry's modern approach, structured around three core pillars: enhancing institutional operations and visual identity, fostering creativity through innovative strategies, and leveraging investments to create sustainable funding models. The overarching goal is to position Egypt as a global leader in thought, creativity, and cultural diplomacy.

Under the first pillar, the Ministry plans to modernise its internal structure and visual identity. This includes creating a cohesive brand image through redesigned logos, standardised digital assets, and a cutting-edge online presence.

The Ministry also aims to promote cultural awareness and preserve Egypt’s rich heritage by cultivating talent and educating citizens through targeted programmes.

The second pillar focuses on developing innovative concepts to nurture a creative environment. Hanno highlighted plans to establish dedicated support teams for event planning, digital marketing, and logistical operations.

A flagship initiative, the "Culture of Egypt" project, will aim to engage Egyptians across all demographics with accessible and inclusive cultural programming.

The third and final pillar seeks to transform cultural assets into sustainable sources of revenue. The Ministry plans to develop cultural industries that turn artistic talents into profitable ventures.

This includes the commercial management of tangible assets such as cultural venues, alongside leveraging intangible resources like Egypt's rich heritage and creative output.

Hanno underscored that the Ministry’s vision extends beyond financial goals, aiming to inspire other institutions through innovation and forward-thinking strategies. The updated approach aspires to make Egypt’s cultural identity a powerful tool for global engagement, countering foreign influences while sharing the nation's rich heritage with the world.
