Ethiopia and Russia discuss BRICS Summit preparations

Ethiopia's State Minister for Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Mesganu Arga met with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ethiopia Yevgeny Terekhin in his office on Monday to discuss regional and multilateral issues of mutual interest.

The two sides also discussed preparations for the BRICS Heads of State and Government Summit to be held in Russia. This is reported by Fana Broadcast Corporate (FBC), a partner of TV BRICS.

According to the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry, both sides agreed on the importance of expanding bilateral relations through various activities and ensuring the full implementation of previously signed agreements.

Meanwhile, Minister Mesganu also met on Monday with the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Hanna Tetteh. At the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest in the Horn of Africa region.
