Interest in AI jobs grows in India

Job vacancies in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are growing rapidly in India, according to the report by a local company. This is reported by ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.
According to the report, the number of job openings in these fields increased by 37 per cent in May compared to last year.
The report also notes an increase in vacancies in the banking, consumer goods and oil and gas sectors. Overall, hiring in these sectors in India increased by 6 per cent in May compared to April 2024.
A particular focus of the report is the growing demand for vacancies for experienced professionals. The number of vacancies for professionals with 16 years of experience and above grew by 23 per cent, indicating a need for a workforce with more experience.
The healthcare sector grew by 8 per cent, driven by infrastructure and services in metro cities such as Bangalore and Hyderabad. Travel and hospitality also showed a growth of 8 per cent due to recovery in tourism activity.
