Preparations for the session of the World Urban Forum are underway in Egypt

More than 6,000 people have registered to attend the forum

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly discussed preparations for the 12th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF12), which will be held from 4-8 November 2024 in Cairo. The meeting discussed measures to ensure the success of the event.

Madbouly stressed the need for coordinated action between the relevant ministries to manage the forum, including organising simultaneous events and preparing for the expected high level of participation. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.

More than 6,000 people are known to have registered for the forum, while 105 companies have confirmed their participation in the accompanying exhibition.

El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, commented on the ministry's progress in coordination with the Ministry of Local Development under the leadership of the National Coordinator of the forum.

The Minister of Housing presented the proposed programme for the World Urban Forum, outlining the various sessions planned during the event. He also briefed the audience on the general layout of the forum's exhibition area, including the location of pavilions for participating countries and institutions, the registration point, main entrances, examples of small exhibition pavilions and other logistical details.

El-Sherbiny noted that 102 international and local organisations from 49 countries will participate in the exhibition, which will be held on an area of over 6,000 square metres.
