Russian and Egyptian presidents discuss co-operation during Russia's BRICS chairmanship

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi reviewed the current agenda during telephone talks. This is reported by the official website of the President of the Russian Federation.

The leaders discussed Russian-Egyptian co-operation and stated that it is successfully developing in line with the strategic partnership. They noted that the efforts of the two countries are realising large-scale mutually beneficial projects in many areas.

The Egyptian President assured that given its full membership in BRICS, Egypt will actively participate in the events organised by the Russian presidency.

The sides agreed to continue contacts at various levels.

Abdel Fattah al-Sisi congratulated Vladimir Putin on his re-election as President of Russia.
